FEP Technologies Team
Over the past 20 years, Anja had a diverse international career that includes living in 5 countries on 3 continents. She was born and raised in Germany, and her first contact with the business world was an internship with HELLA GmbH & Co. KG, which is headquartered in her German hometown.
HELLA is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of automotive and aerospace parts and accessories. It develops and manufactures lighting and electronic components and systems for
the automotive industry. In the Aftermarket segment, HELLA also has one of the largest trade organizations for automotive parts, accessories, diagnostics and services within Europe. Later in her career, Anja also worked for HELLA’s subsidiary in Melbourne/Australia.
Over the years, Anja transitioned her career through Brand Management, Strategic Business Development and Corporate Strategy, into Mergers & Acquisitions, Investment Banking, and business appraisal. She spends much of her time in diverse, cross-functional business environments in a variety of industries. She has lectured on topics related to International Business, Entrepreneurship and M&A at top US business schools, including Boston University’s Global MBA program, and often speaks at conferences in front of large audiences. Publications like Inc. Magazine and a variety of business radio shows have repeatedly interviewed her.
Peter Kruse, the founder of Snipptec who worked at HELLA for over a decade, is a close childhood friend of Anja. In 2014, Peter turned to Anja for business advice concerning Snipptec’s plans to enter the U.S. market. After testing the technology on her own vehicle and recognizing the large potential of the technology, she formed FEP Technologies LLC with Mario Wanderley, to exclusively represent Snipptec in all of the Americas.
Mario Wanderley has a 20-year successful track record starting-up, financing and growing technology, telecommunications and industrial businesses in the U.S., Europe and Latin America. He has negotiated and partnered with some of the world’s largest and most sophisticated private equity firms, having raised capital from and acted as CFO for two companies backed by The Blackstone Group.
Prior to FEP Technologies, Mario was CFO/COO of The Crowley Group, an
entrepreneurial investment firm engaged primarily in the start-up, acquisition and management of businesses in partnership with venture capital and private equity firms. He directed all major financial and strategic initiatives of Crowley’s operating subsidiaries, including M&A, capital raising, corporate development, strategic planning, restructurings, investor/bank relations, as well as certain operating and commercial matters. While at Crowley, Mario structured a joint venture with AT&T Wireless to bid for spectrum licenses in FCC auction and build and operate wireless networks in 45 U.S. cities. He later negotiated the sale of Crowley’s stake in the business to AT&T for the equivalent of a 30% Internal Rate of Return.
Mario also co-founded and helped build a European telecommunications business that he later sold for a price equivalent to a 78% premium to the buyer’s own trading multiple and co-led the investment in and restructuring of a “Software-as-a-Service” company focused on user-generated content and social media marketing. In 2013, the SaaS company was named one of L.A.’s “10 Hottest Start-Ups” by Inc. Magazine.
Previously, Mario was an investment banker with J.P. Morgan & Co. in New York and Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he participated in the origination and execution of M&A and Capital Markets transactions in numerous industries, including petrochemicals, oil and gas, fertilizers, media, airline, basic materials, food retail and private equity.
